AMC Foods is a family-owned business, with a rich history of innovation, quality and service.

The company was founded in 1955 by the late Mr. Aloysius M. Cramb, who began his career in the food industry as an apprentice baker at the age of 13 in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1946 he moved to Toronto and joined his brother’s bakery business, which became known as Cramb’s Bakery Ltd.

In 1954, Mr. Cramb opened a small grocery store on Queen Street East in Toronto called “A&M Grocery Store” which eventually became AMC Foods Ltd., a wholesale distributor of fresh breads and baked goods to restaurants and hotels throughout Ontario.

AMC Foods is a food processing company headquartered in California. It was founded in 1979. The company specializes in the production of meat, poultry, seafood and vegetables products.

The company has two major divisions: AMC Poultry and AMC Seafood. AMC Poultry produces fresh, frozen and value-added chicken products for the retail and foodservice markets. AMC Seafood produces fresh, frozen and value-added shrimp products for the retail and foodservice markets.
